Position Summary
Assist the Welding Foreman and Lead Welders in all aspects of fabrication and field welding projects. Responsibilities include preparing materials, setting up and maintaining welding equipment, reading basic blueprints and shop drawings, grinding and fitting metal components, and supporting welders during structural and fabrication work. Perform physical labor including lifting heavy materials, operating hand and power tools, and safely handling steel and other metals. Ensure the job site and shop areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards and regulations. Load and unload materials and verify that proper supplies are transported to the job site. Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman, Supervisor, or Lead Welders.
Skills/Qualifications
Attention to detail, quality focus, ability to lift heavy objects, teamwork, technical aptitude, dependability, initiative, strong work ethic, and problem-solving skills. experience in welding, metal fabrication, or structural steel is a plus but not required. Willing to train candidates who are eager to learn and grow in the trade.
