Project Overview
Fox Structures has a long history of working with Redtail Ridge Dairy on its large farm in Malone, completing almost a dozen agricultural buildings for the operation over the past decade or so.
“We’ve used Fox Structures for all of the construction projects on our farm including a milking parlor, heifer barn, shop with wash bay and many free stall barns,” says owner Tyler Thome.
Fox Structures recently worked again with the farm to expand a freestall barn to better support efficient, modern dairy management.
The expansion features a state-of-the-art automated tunnel ventilation system to maintain consistent airflow, which is better for temperature control and overall air quality management inside the barn. This creates a more comfortable environment for the cows year-round, which aids in boosting milk production.
The cows have settled into the newly expanded 234’ x 290’ freestall barn, which is now fully operational. The barn also includes a 36’ x 110’ calving and maternity area, along with a 20’ x 30’ vac/electrical room, bringing the total footprint of the expanded facility to more than 72,600 square feet.
