Position Summary
Completes construction projects (commercial, agricultural, and residential buildings) by planning, organizing, and controlling projects; completing quality inspections; supervising sub-contractors and staff. Accomplishes construction human resource objectives by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures. Ability to read blueprints, plans, specifications received for project to determine work activities, materials and scheduling; performing concrete related tasks (building layout, flatwork, footings, walls, etc.) involving physical labor; lifting; operate hand and power tools of all types; run equipment, ensure site is clean and safe. Manages sub-contractors by monitoring and controlling performance. Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements. Performing other duties as assigned by management.
